What exactly makes a mini-episode?

Okay, I've got a bit of a predicament here, people. The aforementioned Siblings mini-episode 3 is almost done... but it's much longer than I assumed it would be. I added a scene with Johny at the end for a few extra jokes about the situation, and with all the scenes already in it, it's running at roughly 3 minutes in length. That's practically a full episode.

Here's the thing, though: I don't consider it a full episode. It was a very spur-of-the-moment kind of story and that has the feeling of a mini-episode. Of course, it's too long to really think of as a mini-episode, right? I mean, Runesuck (episode 1) is only like 2 minutes long. Sure, that's back before I knew how long a typical episode would end up being, but still...

I'm at a loss, peeps. Should I continue to refer to it as a mini-episode, or just make it a full episode due to length? I'm leaning toward mini-episode, mainly because the episode 6 I'm making now feels right as an episode 6. Making it episode 7 just messes up the order in my head, and I don't know if I'm cool with that. Gimme yer thoughts on it, would ya?

Yeah, make it Mini-Episode 3, even if it comes exactly after Heinous Anus Zone in terms of posting date, and I think a mini-episode is about a single idea, like Pop a Cap is about Reflex Testing and Heinous Anus Zone is about, well, Heinous Anus Zone, normal episodes have more than one type of joke.

That's my opinion.

True enough. Yeah, mini-episodes are like that. Like I said, I was leaning toward mini-episode anyway, but figured I'd post about it to get the fan's take on the whole thing. I like including you guys on decisions, it's fun.

Make it a mini-episode you obviously have a lot to vent about that crappy movie so don't worry that it is longer than pop a cap or runesuck since those were your earlier flashes and you were just starting to make flash. You yourself said that you are still learning and growing with your flash work so longer script are a part of that. Don't beat yourself up over it, besides you promised me episode 7 was going to be another Spike video. Also if you are still worried that it will seem like a full episode you can remove Johnny and put him in the extras. You are known for your vast amount of extras so it is up to you run the course or deviate from the plan it is your work not mine. With that in mind do it the way you see fit because it does not matter to me I will still watch it. Enjoy your work like I enjoy it.

I'm just surprised by its length. I wouldn't want to make it any shorter, I just didn't think it'd be so long. I mean, there isn't a scene in this that's longer than 30 seconds, but by the end of it, I ended up having 9 scenes, heh. And there were a couple of jokes I forgot to write into it. Of course, it's too late for that now. Perhaps I'll throw it in as an audio extra or something.

So don't fret about it, you say that you're almost done the mini-episode, so just finish it.

Go for Mini-Episode 3, and continue to build anticipation for the next full episode. Of course, the more build up, the higher the expectations. Tread softly.

I think that you should go with whatever you feel, I mean this is your series, and these are your animations, so hang formality and go for what you want to do =P

So yeh, if you wanna make a longer mini-sode, go for it ^_^ I look forward to seeing more stuff either way though XD

You wanted the other animation to be episode 6 therefore, this one is an inbetweeny. THEREFORE, THEREFORE, it's a mini-episode.

Either way really, it's going to be amazingly animated, hilarious and everyone will love it. AS USUAL.

What makes a mini-episode is that it's smaller than an average episode. If it's as long or maybe even longer I'd think it's a normal episode
