Oh, it wasn't so bad. Pheonix is where I landed, but the place I stayed at was about 2 hours to the north. True, it's hot, but it was a different experience. First time flying, first time in a mountain-y area, and first time I was in an area so remote, it took hours upon hours to get anywhere. Saw the Grand Canyon for the first time, too. Big hole. BIG hole. One of the biggest ones I've seen. In person, anyway. All in all it was a pretty cool vacation, though.
