Kay, so like... yeah. Hiatus.

Might as well mention that I'm sort of trying to get back into animating again. I did about 10 seconds last night, which is more than I've been able to do in the past couple of months. All that crap happening at the same time kind of hit me hard, but I'm about over it now I think.

But I'm not gonna revoke my hiatus status cuz... well, I dunno if I'll actually get back into animating or anything. I'm trying, but will it last? Will it not? Who the hell cares. I sure don't.

I'm trying, though. Working on episode 6 right now... it won't be done for quite awhile, but slow and steady wins the race. Well, unless you're racing fast and steady, anyway. Bastard fast n' steady's...

Thanks, man. The animation is actually going pretty well, I got the character animations for like a minute of one of episode 6's scenes done, so that's a great start. I'd love to be able to finish it by January, that'd rule. Then release the entire version of THATH the following February... I don't know how well I'll be able to, but that's my current goal.
Of course the job hunt is still fruitless... But I know its impossible to ultimately fail if I keep trying, so I'm going to. I'll get one some day.

It's great to have you back man, but... Just, don't force yourself into some deluded state of happiness only to come crashing down back into reality every time you step away from the drawing board, you know?

I know people here pretty much expect you to make these fun and witty flash movies all the time, but maybe that's not the best medication for you right now. Don't be afraid to take that small step over to the darker side of the emotional triangle for once. It might actually do you some good to get it off your chest.

Life isn't always fun and games, it sucks that you've had to find that out the hard way.

Trust me, I never do this to meet some quota or meet expectations. It's more of a case of me just wanting to get back to the thing that gave me happiness before I started relying on other things for it. And I'm tired of being negative, of hating everything and doing nothing about it, y'know? If I want to feel good, I need to do something that makes me feel like a success, and animation is the best sort of thing for that. It took some time to get back into the swing of it, but I'm glad I've finally found the strength to do it. It all takes time.

Well thanks, man, I try. I wish I was doing more stuff like that now, but I'm still playing catch up as far as the art portal is concerned. I won't upload everything I've ever done, but some of the better things will be. I got it all up on my dA account, of course, so if you just wanted to see it without waiting on my slow ass then you could go that route. Either way, thanks for the compliment and kind words!
